Destruction of classic building by Toyo Ito

Winning project of Japanese architect Toyo Ito quashes classic conception of floor inside the building. Construction is in organic form flowing through the building. Thats fractionate inside space into a new dimension. Architect said:“Architecture has to follow the diversity of society, and has to reflect it, a simple square or cube can’t contain that diversity.”

no wonder architecture costs so much money!
the real diversity of society in each unique individual’s mind, not in some structure that is supposed to symbolize it.
Besides that, this building is butt-ugly.

Beautiful idea. An elegant evolution from the De Young museum.
