Mini-village on a top of the roof, Didden Village

MVRDV, bend-mind mainly by huge and commercial projects, will step in their „home town“ Rotterdam by a rooftop house extension of residences called Didden Village. On a existing monumental house will be added residance houses with a lot of private space, where also will be created a series of plazas, streets and alleys which appear as a mini-village on a top of the building. Parapet walls with windows surround the new village. This project gives a real shape for a vision of change of old and existing cities.
